Goodbye July, it’s been fun!!!! But before we submit ourselves to August, let’s look back at what we accomplished at the Adventures of OxenTrot this week.  A quick note for next month though.  It is going to be more freeform.  I will still be posting every day during the weekdays, but I won’t be predetermining a specific schedule of topics.  Granted, I may just end up staying with the current program, mainly due to the fact that I am not imaginative, but hopefully a month of doing what I want will inspire new and interesting things.  If you have any suggestions, feel free to add them to the comments section.

Now, let’s close out July!

Monday Cinema Club – This week we kept it real with the Merc with the Mouth taking on…a bunch of guys who can’t shoot well.  This Deadpool movie is worth 9 Chimichangas out of…it doesn’t matter.  Nine Chimichangas out of anything will always be a winner in my book.   Click here to read the review and watch the video in all of its glory.

Bookworm Tuesday – Crapkiller: A Thrilling Science Fiction Novella (The Solarian War Sage Book 0) by Felix R. Savage.  I don’t even think I need to say anymore, the title does all the talking.  This story satisfies the SciFi geeky side of me and the humorous funny side of me.  It’s a literary Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. You can read the review HERE and get a free copy of this book and the next book in the series for free HERE.

We also spent time preparing for new comicbook Wednesday, to include looking back at Deadpool’s Secret Secret Wars.  You can find reviews every Tuesday, and a list of what will hit stores that week, at Comic Books.

Anything Can Happen Wednesday – For this Anything Can Happen Wednesday, we explore the theory that the future is now.  Why do I believe this?  Just look at the tech that is out right now.  No one imagined this stuff in their wildest dreams.  For example, the Lily Camera.  It may just be the thing to overtake GoPro someday.  You can see what I mean HERE.

Throwback Thursday – We dug up a classic short film.  One that may be considered the godfather of all fan films.  It’s Hardware Wars.  Follow Fluke Starbucker and Ham Salad as they explore the galaxies and battle evil.  Join the 1970s fun HERE.

And that, my friends, is that for another week and another month.  Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you! To everyone who has stopped by and enjoyed my posts.  Whether you commented, liked or just read the silliness I put up each week, it all makes me happy.

Until next week, have a great weekend and make sure to find time to go out and have some fun.

About OxenTrot

During the day, I am a mild mannered desk jockey who helps to manage a large IT company.  At night, I am a family man, who is insanely in love with his wife and a proud daddy to an amazing girl.  But in the pre-dawn hours, as most everyone else is still asleep, I am my alter ego.  During that time, I am: OxenTrot. Ox was a call sign bestowed upon me while I was an active duty United States Marine, mainly in tribute to the fact that I was a major gym rat. After 5 years and three tours of duty, I reentered the civilian world.  My call sign was replaced by my actual name but the Ox still lived inside. As I began to adapt to my new life, I also began to take on new adventures, such as starting a family, getting a “big boy” job and taking on endurance sports.
