My parents still house many of the toys, books and even stuff animals from my and my sister’s youth. This means that my daughter has been able to repurpose many of the things I used to play with and cherish as a child. Recently, we have been getting into toy cars. So, we pulled out the box of Matchbox and other assorted die cast vehicles my sister and I used to play with all the time. Within the box we found some things that were superhero themed. I had completely forgot about them. Turns out, they are all from a company call Corgi. It is a popular UK brand that I am guessing were common in the States back in the ’70s and ’80s because we found a good number of them and probably had more back in the day.
So for this Throwback Thursday, I give you some vintage, and very played with, superhero vehicles from the 1970s.
Corgi is still going strong and their supply of miniatures includes cars, trucks, buses, plans, helicopters and 18 wheelers. Check them out here.
Hope you enjoyed this stroll down memory lane. Now go out, have fun some and don’t forget to check out some of the other topics on this blog, such as Monday Cinema Club, Bookworm Tuesday, Anything Can Happen Wednesday, Throwback Thursday, and Friday’s Week in Review.
