Anything Can Happen Wednesday: The Unicorn Files

This week on Anything Can Happen Wednesday, we are going to look at some amazing projects people are trying to crowdfund.  Movies, books, games, there is a bunch of geekiness out there that you can help support, by either donating a few bucks or just taking the time to spread the word through social media.

First up today: The Unicorn Files: A Geek Girl Photo Book by Terra Clarke Olsen UnicornFiles

Terra Clarke Olsen (founder and art director) and Nate Watters (photographer) are out to “show that geeky women exist, are a diverse group, and an important part of the geek community.” I love this idea because I think I actually know more Geek Girls than I do Geek Guys, starting with my sister and extending out to friends and coworkers. Perks range from pins and stickers to signed copies of the book to a special VIP invite to the launching party (travel not included).

Stop by and check out The Unicorn Files: A Geek Girl Photo Book.  They have some really cool pictures up and a video by Terra and Nate describing their vision for this book.

Don’t forget to check back here to see more crowd funding projects on Anything Can Happen Wednesday. And check out our other topics too, such as Monday Cinema ClubBookworm TuesdayThrowback Thursday and Friday’s Week in Review.

About OxenTrot

During the day, I am a mild mannered desk jockey who helps to manage a large IT company.  At night, I am a family man, who is insanely in love with his wife and a proud daddy to an amazing girl.  But in the pre-dawn hours, as most everyone else is still asleep, I am my alter ego.  During that time, I am: OxenTrot. Ox was a call sign bestowed upon me while I was an active duty United States Marine, mainly in tribute to the fact that I was a major gym rat. After 5 years and three tours of duty, I reentered the civilian world.  My call sign was replaced by my actual name but the Ox still lived inside. As I began to adapt to my new life, I also began to take on new adventures, such as starting a family, getting a “big boy” job and taking on endurance sports.
