Now here are the show notes for this week:

Week Eight = The one where I go off the rails.

This week was my first week back into some serious training. Gym time and some decent miles each day really got my energy levels back up and I have my sites firmly focused on this weekend’s Marine Corps Historic Half. However, I do get sidetracked a bit and provide an unconvincing argument about why I should be the next Wolverine for future X-Men movies. It is an amazing display of how exercise can really get you hyped up in the morning, to an almost manic state. So please, listen as I lose my mind and have delusions of grandeur as I drive my way through traffic towards my big boy job where people have to put up with me in real time. And as I promised, you can go to my Twitter, Instagram and Facebook pages and see my start for the OxenTrot as Wolverine campaign….which I will most likely give up on by the end of the week.

For those of you who are new, I do record these installments during my commute to work. So I apologize for all the background noise and distractions you will hear. Turn signals. Honking horns. My inability to pronounce words correctly. I leave most warts and all untouched.

About OxenTrot

During the day, I am a mild mannered desk jockey who helps to manage a large IT company.  At night, I am a family man, who is insanely in love with his wife and a proud daddy to an amazing girl.  But in the pre-dawn hours, as most everyone else is still asleep, I am my alter ego.  During that time, I am: OxenTrot. Ox was a call sign bestowed upon me while I was an active duty United States Marine, mainly in tribute to the fact that I was a major gym rat. After 5 years and three tours of duty, I reentered the civilian world.  My call sign was replaced by my actual name but the Ox still lived inside. As I began to adapt to my new life, I also began to take on new adventures, such as starting a family, getting a “big boy” job and taking on endurance sports.
